The Local Government Unit of Madrid, through the Municipal Agriculture Office, in partnership with our Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA), LVSR Integrated-Diversified Coconut Farm, successfully conducted a one-day training on Squash Noodles Making.
The training was participated in by 10 participantsβfive (5) representatives from vegetable-growing associations and five (5) representatives from local cooperatives. π©βπΎπ¨βπΎ
The activity aimed to equip our local farmers and community members with practical knowledge and skills in value-adding and food processing, particularly in transforming locally grown squash into a nutritious and marketable product. π
We extend our sincere appreciation to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Juan Paolo L. Lopez, for his continued support and commitment to agricultural development in the municipality. We also express our gratitude to Ms. Minda C. Teves, owner of LVSR Integrated-Diversified Coconut Farm, for generously sharing her knowledge, skills, and experience in squash noodles production. π
This training is more than just learning a new skillβit is an opportunity for our farmers to move beyond producing raw agricultural products and explore value-adding, entrepreneurship, and additional sources of income. π
We hope that the knowledge and skills gained from this training will inspire our local growers, associations, and small entrepreneurs to explore new ventures in producing healthy, nutritious, and marketable food products using locally available crops.
π± From farm produce to value-added productsβcreating opportunities, adding value, and empowering our local farmers! πͺπ©βπΎπ¨βπΎ
