Office in Action

The Municipal Level Evaluation for the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program, spearheaded by the Provincial Agriculture Office in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) Surigao del Sur and Municipal Local Government Units, was successfully conducted in the Municipality of Madrid.
The activity aimed to assess the participating schools' efforts in promoting food security, proper nutrition, environmental stewardship, and sustainable gardening practices through the establishment and maintenance of productive school gardens.
Participating in this year's municipal evaluation were:
🌾 San Vicente Elementary School
🌾 Songkit Elementary School
The evaluation was conducted by a team composed of technical staff from the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and the Rural Health Unit (RHU), who assessed each participating school based on the prescribed evaluation criteria.
The school that earns the highest overall score will be officially endorsed to the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist as the Municipality of Madrid's official representative to the Provincial Level Gulayan sa Paaralan Competition.
